Nam Dinh Vu port successfully received 6 RTGS

On December 6th, 2017, the vessel Sealink Pacific 330 carrying 06 RTGs for Nam Dinh Vu Port has arrived in Hai Phong and docked at the Port safely.

These are the RTGs in the equipment package contract comprising 6 RTGs and 4 modern QCs for the first phase of Nam Dinh Vu Port. At present, Gemadept is completing the construction to put the Port into operation right in early 2018.

Being built by Mitsui - Japan in 2017, the 6 new-generation RTGs specialized for container handling were designed with the lifting capacity under spreader of 40-50 tons, lifting height 5+1 and inside clear span for 6 containers across. Especially, when the RTGs are invested synchronously in conjunction with modern CATOS port management software, it will be able to monitor and manage accurately each container position on the CY, ensuring the smooth operation of the Port both at the front and in the rear, thereby improving the port's capacity of container handling and managing.

With the focus on infrastructure and modern equipment investment along with outstanding integrated services and the capacity to accommodate two 30,000 DWT vessels at the same time, Nam Dinh Vu Port will provide carriers the best quality service and become one of the important destinations for  vessels calling Haiphong City from early 2018.

Nam Dinh Vu Port is one of the key projects of Gemadept Corporation in 2017. This is Gemadept’s 3rd port in Hai Phong and 6th port along the coastline. With the total investment of USD 300 million, the system of 07 berths, 1.5 km long and ​​65 hectares large, Nam Dinh Vu Port project owning favorable location will catch up the cargo moving trend from the upstream area of Hai Phong. This will further enhance the position of Gemadept on the port map of Vietnam.
