Recently, the B2B Matching Online virtual business networking event between Vietnamese and Taiwanese logistics enterprises was organized by the Vietnam Logistics Business Association (VLA) in collaboration with WR1 International Freight Forwarding JSC, with Gemadept Corporation as a key partner.

This third B2B Matching Online event builds on the success of the previous two sessions, marking a significant milestone in the strategic collaboration between the Vietnam Logistics Business Association (VLA) and its two partners from Taiwan, China: the International Ocean Freight Forwarders & Logistics Association of Taiwan (IOFFLAT) and the Taiwan Freight Logistics Association (TFLA). The event brought together 23 Vietnamese enterprises and 26 Taiwanese enterprises, fostering deeper business connections.

With 35 years of experience, an extensive integrated Port & Logistics ecosystem, and multimodal transportation solutions, Gemadept, as an active member of VLA, has been working alongside industry enterprises to reduce national logistics costs, enhance transportation capacity, and optimize expenses, ultimately strengthening the global competitiveness of Vietnamese goods. By participating in B2B Matching Online, Gemadept reaffirms its commitment to expanding cooperation opportunities, bridging Vietnamese logistics enterprises closer to international standards, particularly in the context of deepening economic ties between Vietnam and Taiwan.

According to data from the Ministry of Planning and Investment, Taiwan’s investment in Vietnam reached $2.2 billion in 2023, a fourfold increase compared to 2022. As of now, Taiwan is Vietnam’s fourth-largest foreign investor, with nearly 3,200 projects and a total registered capital exceeding $39.5 billion. Additionally, Taiwan has become Vietnam’s fifth-largest trading partner, with annual bilateral trade amounting to $25 billion. This B2B Matching Online event is expected to create new opportunities for connection, cooperation, and business expansion between enterprises from both sides, contributing to the growth of Vietnam – Taiwan trade relations in the future. Notably, the event also serves as a platform to introduce and promote the FIATA World Congress 2025 to the Taiwanese business community, attracting interest and active participation from international partners.

The event was attended by 23 Vietnamese enterprises and 26 Taiwanese enterprises

The FIATA World Congress 2025, scheduled to take place in Hanoi from October 6 to 10, 2025, is a major event in the global logistics industry. Under the theme “Green Logistics and Agile Adaptation,” the congress will focus on sustainable development solutions, technology applications, and strengthening international cooperation. The event is expected to attract over 1,200 delegates from more than 100 countries, including leaders of logistics associations, top enterprises, solution providers, investors, and industry experts.
