Gemadept implemented training on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)

To equip key personnel of departments and accountants of units with IFRS knowledge, the Company's Accounting Department has invited consulting expert Ms. Tran Thi Hai Van, MSc, ACCA, CIA to organize an International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) training course in the form of direct training at the Gemadept’s Head Office and online at other units.

Following Decision 345/QD-BTC signed on March 16, 2020 by the Ministry of Finance on approving the project to apply International Financial Reporting Standards in Vietnam, Gemadept is one of the companies that belong to the group of listed companies on the list of voluntary applications (2022 to 2025) and mandatory application of IFRS after 2025.

To equip key personnel of departments and accountants of units with IFRS knowledge, the Company's Accounting Department has invited consulting expert Ms. Tran Thi Hai Van, MSc, ACCA, CIA to organize an IFRS training course in the form of direct training at the Gemadept’s Head Office and online at other units with a plan consisting of 3 phases:

Phase 1a – Half day (23th April 2024, morning): An overview training on IFRS and the benefits of applying IFRS, the difference between IFRS and current Vietnamese accounting standards and the expected impacts of conversion, financial reporting system prepared according to IFRS.

Phase 1b - 4.5 days (afternoon of April 23-24 and May 8-10, 2024): Learning from basics to in-depth knowledge that will significantly impact the financial situation of each unit, helping the accounting department and related staff to visualize each impact in detail (e.g revenue, inventory, costs, etc.)

Phase 2 – Half day (morning of June 5 or morning of June 7, 2024): Present to the Board of Directors on the importance and benefits of applying IFRS, challenges and necessary planned roadmap to help the Board of Directors strategize.

Phase 3 - 3 days (June 12-14, 2024): Basic and advanced training on preparing consolidated financial statements according to IFRS and instructions on converting financial statements from VAS to IFRS.
