Resulting from Vietnam Report's independent, internationally-benchmarked research, the PROFIT500 ranking, first published in 2017 in collaboration with VietNamNet Newspaper, celebrates Vietnamese businesses that demonstrate outstanding business results, profitability, and their role as economic mainstays.

Vietnam's economic picture in the first 3 quarters of 2024 showed positive signs, marking a period of transformation and clear improvement of the economy. According to the General Statistics Office, GDP in the first 9 months increased by 6.82% - a fairly high increase compared to the same period in 2023.

All three sectors, agriculture, industry, and services, experienced robust growth; the economic structure continued to shift positively. Exports continued to rise sharply, resulting in a large trade surplus, contributing to a balanced payment. Export turnover increased by 15.4%; imports increased by 17.3%; the trade surplus is estimated to reach 20.8 billion USD.
