This achievement places Cai Mep 5th in Asia and trails only Tanjung Pelepas Port in Southeast Asia. Gemalink Deep-sea Port, a crucial part of the Cai Mep Port Cluster, undoubtedly contributes positively to these overall results. A prime example is the expansion of Gemalink Deep-sea Port's scale and berth to 1.5 kilometers, allowing it to simultaneously accommodate two of the world's largest container vessels. In Hai Phong's Dinh Vu area, phase 3 of the Nam Dinh Vu Port Cluster is on track for completion in 2025. This expansion will increase the Port's total design capacity to 2 million TEU/year and enable it to receive container vessels up to 48,000 DWT (deadweight tonnage) at full load, the largest size that can enter the area. Upon completion, the Nam Dinh Vu Port Cluster will become the biggest river port in Northern Vietnam. This represents just one step in Gemadept's ongoing journey forward, with many more plans and unwavering determination in the pipeline.
