Throughout its over three decades of establishment and development, Gemadept has remained deeply committed to its mission of contributing to promoting the country's economic flow, while also upholding its corporate social responsibility. This commitment is evident through the company's contributions to the community.
During the height of the pandemic in 2021, Gemadept employees tirelessly worked to maintain the flow of essential goods, including necessities, medicines, and medical equipment, ensuring supply chain continuity. Simultaneously, the Company made timely contributions to the Vaccine Fund and provided essential medical equipment to frontline hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City, such as the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Thong Nhat Hospital, and Thu Dung Field Hospital, in support of their efforts to treat Covid-19 patients.
The Covid-19 Intensive Care Center was assigned by the Ministry of Health to the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital - one of the leading hospitals in the southern region. As the last line in the ladder of treatment for Covid-19 patients, the Center is responsible for managing admissions, providing emergency care, and treating critically ill Covid-19 patients. Additionally, it offers technical and professional support for emergency and recovery services, extending its expertise to facilities that collect, treat, and care for patients within its designated area.
In light of the urgent needs of the Covid-19 Intensive Care Center, modern resuscitation machines, ventilators, oxygen tanks, and dialysis machines are essential to save more lives. Gemadept promptly demonstrated its support by donating 07 patient monitoring devices, demonstrating its commitment to sharing the burden during these challenging times
The Nihon Kohden BSM-3562 Patient Monitoring Monitor is a famous product with top quality manufactured using Japanese technology. The device can analyse various basic vital parameters such as ECG, breathing rate, SpO2, and NIBP and display many different waveforms. In addition, the machine has an alarm indicator designed to be placed on top of the machine to help monitor the patient's condition. Thanks to the modern features of the machine, doctors know when the patient is in a very urgent state to take immediate measures. At the same time, the machine can measure NIBP blood pressure using the PWTT technique, the machine continuously monitors ECG and SpO2 waves. If there is an abnormal change in blood vessels that occurs in the middle of a normal blood pressure measurement cycle, PWTT can be detected and activate the blood pressure monitor at this time… With its diverse support features and high stability, this monitor has reduced mortality rates and improved patient outcomes.
While the COVID-19 pandemic has receded, allowing life to gradually regain normalcy, the lingering effects of the pandemic remain. Yet, the enduring values of human compassion and unwavering support will continue to shine brightly over time.
Gemadept members carry the gifts they have given in their hearts, feeling a profound sense of purpose in their contributions to saving precious lives and spreading good human values. Together, we can build our community, homeland, and nation.
